Traditional trivia tests what you know. 321Trivia adds strategy: when to play, how much to risk, and who to take on. Every team gets a handful of power-ups — the game is deciding what to do with them.
Timing
When you play matters as much as what you play.
Free
Need a guaranteed win? Play Free and the question is marked correct no matter what — even if you have already locked in the wrong answer, and even if you never answer at all. Free overrides whatever you picked. It pays the question’s full value, and unlike every other answer, the clock takes no cut: use it in the first second or the last and you bank the same points.
CopyCat
Not sure about your answer? CopyCat freezes your point countdown and lets you peek at another player’s answer once they’ve locked it in. Then make the choice: keep your own answer or copy theirs.
Risk & wagers
Back yourself with your own points.
Bet
Feeling confident? Put your own points on the line. Choose your wager and answer the question. Get it right and add your bet to your score. Get it wrong and your wager comes out of your bank.
Double
Double down when you think you know it. A correct answer doubles the question’s value, but a wrong answer costs you that same amount. High confidence can mean a big reward, but guessing can get expensive.
Opponents
Trivia against the room — and against one player in particular.
Duel
Go head-to-head with another player and put points on the line. If you answer correctly and they miss, you earn the question points and take that same amount from their score. But choose your opponent carefully: if they get it right and you miss, they take the points from you instead. If you both answer correctly, you both earn the question points. If you both miss, no points are gained or lost.
Side Bet
Think you know whether another player has the answer? Put points on their performance instead of yours. Choose another player and wager on whether they’ll get the question right. Call it correctly and you win the question’s value. Call it wrong and you lose it.
Help when you need it
Narrow the field, or trust the crowd.
50/50
Stuck between a few answers? 50/50 removes half of the incorrect choices, improving your odds before you make your selection. Once you use it, though, there’s no taking it back.
Crowd
Let the room make the decision for you. When the question ends, your answer automatically becomes the most popular answer chosen by the other players, whether the crowd got it right or wrong.
For hosts
You set the rules of the round
Choose which power-ups each round offers — up to 8 buttons, and the same one more than once if you want it to go further. A new round starts with 50/50, Double, Bet, Free. Or hand the choice to the players: each picks their own set before the round, and anyone who doesn’t choose in time gets a random one.
Power-ups are enforced by the server, not the phone, so every Bet is settled and every Duel is scored exactly by the rules. See which ones stack in the combination matrix.
The point
Power-Ups are limited, and that’s what makes every decision matter.
Save your Free for the question that stumps you. Double down on your strongest category. Bet big when you’re confident. Duel the leader. Follow the Crowd. Side Bet against someone you think is bluffing. Or CopyCat the player who always seems to know the answer.
There isn’t one right strategy. And that’s the point.

Power-up FAQ
What does the Free power-up do?+
Free pays the question’s full value whether your answer is right or wrong — even if you never answer — and the clock takes nothing off, so it pays the same in the first second as the last.
Can players lose points with power-ups?+
Yes. A missed Bet, Double, Duel or Side Bet costs points, and a score can go below zero. That risk is what makes the decision interesting.
Who decides which power-ups are in play?+
The host, round by round, up to 8 power-up buttons per round. Or the host can let every player pick their own set before the round starts.
Can power-ups be combined?+
Many can. Free can’t sit beside Bet or Double, because a wager you can’t lose isn’t a wager, and only one power-up may decide your answer. The combination matrix in the help centre shows every pair.
